The BFI Prezi

This is my BFI Prezi about the BFI such as what their job is, who they fund, and general facts about the BFI.
Following on from this prezi we had an essay to do on the BFI. This helped write the essay as I had researched and learn facts already before planning and writing the essay.

British (teen) Urban Independent Films Prezi

This is my British (teen) Urban Independent Films Prezi. We were looking at which films came under this category such as; Pressure, Trainspotting, Bullet Boy, This is England, Adulthood, Fish Tank, Attack the Block.

Pre-Production Techniques Lesson

In the last two lessons we have been looking at pre-production in making an advert. We decided that a lot goes into producing a advertisement such as;
personnal- are the people involved in making the advert e.g. makeup artist, hairdressers, fashion designers, filmed, camera man, script writers
contributors- are the people who supply for the film e.g. the crew, music director
finance- how much will the advert cost? what will you pay the crew? and how much the directors will charge?
time- deadlines, how much time is given to film, timescale for clearance
facilities- where are the facilities houses? how much will it cost? whats available to use for filming?
materials- scripts, graphic, internet, , materials
locations- risks, the costs, weather risks
codes of practise- modal release,  health and safety

When it comes to producing a advert, there are a lot of factors which contribute into making it a successful and meaningful advert. We looked on the McCann London website, they are a very well known and powerful advertising company who have produced many popular adverts including; Shreddie's, Lo'real makeup, Microsoft Office, Subway, Nestle, Coca Cola and many more successful brands.

When presenting our research on pre production techniques we will either use; Prezi, Final Cut, Powtoon, Go Animate.

This is my prezi for British Independent Film Themes, some genres we looked at were; family, comedy, social, working class hero, gangster, monarchy.

I have given an example of 5 films for each film theme displayed below.

To conclude we can see that there are various different genres and themes in British independent film production.

BTEC Creative Media

So far we have had two buisness lessons. We have SOME insight into what the media course will be like throughout the 2 years but we haven't fully started the course yet. In the first lesson, with Mrs Frost we went through what Media BTEC would consist of. We did a lot of admin and organisation in the first lesson. 

We got given 2 pages of command words that will be using every lesson frequently and we made a wordle using those 2 pages of command words. We made it look very pretty and individual for ourselves so we can learn them in our own time.

Im really excited to start the course as i love learning about how films were produced, how music is played, and how adverts are made. I would want to do something in the future to do with media, maybe in the advertising career.

Our second lesson Mr Cooper took, in which we got introduced to our bloggers and started them up and wrote our first blog (this one!!) Mr Cooper assignment will be on british film production which is reallyyyyyy interesting and I'm so excited to start the film production assignment.

My worries for this course are that;
Im going to be disorganised and lose work
Im going to get stuck on the assignments 
That i won't get a distinction 

For all my assignments I'm going to try my hardest and try get a distinction, but i will be pleased with a merit also.
